Disclosure

Information legally required as a part of a cardholder agreement. The disclosure informs the cardholder of various important terms of a credit agreement. There are numerous laws and regulations surrounding disclosures; they must be issued to a cardholder before the cardholder can use his or her card, for instance, and disclosures are required on all statements. Disclosures may also be required by law at regular intervals or when changes are made to an account.
