Digital Certificate

A piece of data that ensures security and acts as an electronic authentication program by:

1. Identifying its issuing certificate authority
2. Identifying a STAR account holder
3. Contains a digital signature from the issuing certificate authority.
4. Identifies an operational period in which the certificate is valid
5. Contains the account holder’s public key
