Good Faith: A form of dispute resolution that attempts to avoid a compliance case. Good faith resolutions are performed through written communication, including email and paper mail.

Good Faith Item: A funds request from an acquirer member to an issuer member related to a specific STAR transaction. A good faith item cannot be processed as an adjustment due to time limits established in STAR’s rules.

Gross Deposit: A deposit of the face value of credits and sales of bankcards, discounted as a discount by the acquirer of the gross deposit.
